My Expedition(SUV)?

Question

I get 360 miles to a tank of gas. I put $90 to fill it up. I think it has a 20 or 25 gallon tank. Is that good gas mileage? Thanks in advance!!

I have an Expidition as well - they have 28gal tanks.  Assuming you paid $4 per gallon you put 22.5gal in the tank.

This yields a fuel consumtion of 16MPG which is not good according to the general population, but for a full size SUV, it is not too bad.  Expeditions run at 13MPG in the city and about 18MPG on the highway (if you are lucky).  Mine averages on 16MPG, and I am not a very economic driver, mostly highway though.  I only get 320 to 340 miles per tank on 25 gal fill-ups in the city (13.6MPG) and 440 on the highway (17.5MPG).

There is nothing wrong with your vehicle's fuel consumption - mine is similar and compares well to my F150 also.

Chances are your tank is 28 - 30 gallons... thats about 12 - 13 miles a gallon... in which case youre getting average mileage for an SUV = LOW
