My Eye Doctor Said To wear My Glasses For "genral use" What Does That Mean??

Wear them all the time.

Wear them only when you want to see during waking hours.  During sleep you will have 20/20 vision during dreams.  Eyes, like your other senses are considered for "general use" except the mythical "third" eye for ESP and religious considerations.

it means, just use it for important things, like while reading, texting messages at cp, ect.

I know, it's so stupid isn't it: general is one of the most ambiguous words going - they may as well have not said anything. When I was told my glasses were for 'general wear', I took it to mean when ever I felt I needed them.

All the time. You take them off to sleep. You can leave them on in the shower if your eyesight is that bad, just don't scratch them, and don't forget to wash under them!
