My Eyes Hurt?

Question

I think they may be due to some contacts that I ordered off the internet, I went back to an old pair of glasses for a month and used pink eye eye drops during that time. The problem went away and I went back to the contacts for a couple of weeks and now the problem has returned. I have no health insurance, any ideas about what could be the problem. My eyes are slighly red and itchy.

Additional Info: I've woren contacts for the past 10yrs with no problems, and I have no severe allergies, my eyes have always been healthy.

I would make an appointment with an optometrist and not wear the new contacts.  Odds are the new contacts are the cause of the problem.  Are they a new brand that you have not used before?  Also, if you go to the optometrist take the new contacts with you and tell them about your problem.  Good Luck!

getting contacts off of the internet can be really unreliable and you should probably be getting your contacts from you local eye doctor. Don't be putting in the new contacts until the infection has gone away. But when you do put them in, make sure to wash your contacts everyday.

Yeah I would say that it is because you have to get used to them because that is what happpened to me but I think that you just got them from a bad source and should get them some where else.

Mabey it's the brand of contacts your wearing.You should go to an eye doctor and get them checked out to see if theyre right for you.

They might have an allergic affect on your eyes, plus the internet is not always the best place to get contacts(or anything health-wise).Go to your eye doctor and get your condacts from them, or atleast figure out whats wrong.

hmmmm, maybe try diffrent contacts?? idk i remember one time in high school  my eyes were soo itchy and red i went to the nurse and she said if you wet a paper towel in cold water and put it over your eye and hold it there it will help, and it did... just a little
