  1. they make "anti-reflection" glasses which help this very problem. i have a pair and they actually do make my eyes hurt less when i'm looking at the computer or the tv for long periods of time.

you could also try giving your eyes more breaks so they aren't staring at the computer screen for so long. it really just tires your eyes out because the lighting is hard on your eyes and it makes them tired.

  2. You may need glasses to help you focus better on the computer screen, which can reduce your eye strain. Otherwise try taking a 5 min break from the computer screen every 30mins.

Also as you blink a lot less when using a computer (or concentrating) just reminding yourself to blink can really help comfort.

    Good luck

  3. Never use a laptop in a darkened room. Always keep a light on, it reduces eye strain. Take lots of breaks from the computer. Get up and walk around, stare at a distant object - this will keep your eye muscles strong. Drink water to keep your eye tissue hydrated.

  4. If your eyes hurt when you are done working on the laptop then you are straining your eyes. You might need to get glasses. I would say go to the dr and have your eyes checked.

  5. There's at least 3 things you can do to help this.

    1. Try to sit farther away from the screen. Lean back, or put it farther away from you.

    2.  (This may seem silly.) Wear sunglasses when you use it for a long time.  I swear, it works!

    3.  Probably the easiest way to fix this is to cut the brightness on your screen by 20-30%.  You will barely notice the difference but your eyes will notice!
