My Fafsa EFC was higher than ever at 6230! my father only made 32000 between unemployement and work.panic now?

why is it so high now? and should i begin to worry?

18K for a single person is quite a bit (for fafsa standards anyway).  I'm surprised your efc isn't higher.  

Why panic?  You won't be eligible for a Pell grant, but you will be eligible for federal Stafford loans regardless of your or your dad's income.

are you a dependent or independent. if independent you should had only used your income. with a efc that high you wont get any free $ (pell, map seog etc), but u can get loans, bu still with the loans they have limits, but ther eis always a way to pay for school so i dont thinkyou should worry. with the both of you alls income that is $40,000 and thats not at poverty for 2 people.
