With my draft in 4 days... whats you thoughts on...

1) Should I risk taking Steven Jackson or will the holdout last a while.

2) What about Bolden? Is he holding out?

Any other tips on specific players. This league cost $75 to join, and with a broke *** like me, thats alot of cash. I gotta win this....

  1. Just watch the video newb

  2. Steven Jackson at this point is way to risky of a pick in a league that cost $75 to join. As far as I know Bolden is not a hold out. Be Cautious on Andre Johnson he has been injury prone the past two seasons. Try to get Michael Turner looking for him to have a big year. Also Kellen Winslow he is going to be amazing. Make sure you get Brett Favre as a back up quarterback. He usally goes in the 60's. Back up wide receivers get Galloway and/or Berrian. I hope this helped.

  3. 1. Jackson will holdout until he gets a better contract... don't take him. He's not that great anyways.

    2. No, he's not holding out. He is upset about playing back up, but he's still in Arizona.

  4. Just join a free league on ESPN

  5. My tip to you is this - don't play in this league.  If you can't afford to lose the $75 buy-in amount, then you shouldn't play in the league.  There are plenty of free to join leagues out there where the people are highly competitive.  Join one of those.

As far as your players - Demeco Ryans is a beast and plays on a team that spends alot of time with their defense on the field.  Good pick.

Stay as far away from Jackson as you can.  His holdout is only one issue.  Don't forget that he was hurt all last season and that the team was the 2nd worst in the league last year.  I doubt that he's done alot of off season work to improve his health and conditioning and I don't see him doing much.  Go with someone else as your #1 RB.

Bouldin is an ok choice - just remember that this is Leinart's first year to start, and if he's anything like he was at USC, he has one receiver he likes to go to.  So far it looks like Fitzgerald.  I'd be more apt to take Colston from the Saints.  He's a safer choice - but neither of these guys should be your #1 anyway.

  6. 1:  I would not take Steven Jackson.  He will holdout as long as possible.  I would go for a better/safer running back.  LT, Larry Johnson, Marion Barber possibly.  Also, for a "out-of-nowhere" pick later in your draft, you might want to think about Chris Perry from the Bengals.  He looked really good during his preseason game with the Packers.  Oh, dont forget about Adrian Peterson with the Vikings.  He will get the most years this year.  I'd watch out for the Vikings.

2:  Boldin is not holding out.  He wants to be the #1 reciever in Arizona.  I would still pick him but not as my first WR pick.  Hate to say it, but T.O. is always a good choice.  WR's is going to be a little tough this year since people like Chad Johnson and Plexico Buress are whiny babies.  And Steve Smith cant keep his temper down and stay conscience.  I think Calvin Johnson is going to be more productive this year for the Lions.  Also, I would take a look at the New Orleans Saints because Drew Brees loves to pass.

If your drafting whole defensive teams, I would look at Bucs, Jacksonville, or the Colts.  If you draft individualy, good luck.  Thats a tough one.

  7. 1) It depends on where you are picking at.  They are saying that Jackson has no problem sitting out the first 6 weeks of the season if a deal isn't met.  Neither side seems to be budging.  I would be watching the developments of this up until your draft.  If you have a high pick 1-4 and planned on taking him, I may reconsider and go with a safer option (Westbrook, Addai) at 3 or 4.  I think if you have a low first rounder and is still available, I would be more inclined to take the chance b/c the reward would be greater than the risk.  I would just be sure to grab another back fairly quickly.

    2) As far as I know Boldin has been in camp and is not holding out.  He has said he is unhappy but will play out the remainder of his contract.
