My Father died when I was 11 but I want to know more about him?

His name was John Nattrass He was born in NZ came to AUS when he was around 20, i'm not sure though.

He died in Bass Strait on 26th October 1996.

you could always hire a pritave investigator i know he is dead but they can still look up information about him for you. or try surfing the internet you can find ANYTHING you want on the internet these days you might have some luck there

Obits usually mention occupation, clubs and church the person belonged to. You could then write or visit the office / factory, club, church and ask about him. Twelve years may dim some memories, but you might find someone who knew him.

If his secondary school class or his university has a reunion committee, write to them with a request for anyone who knew him to write to you.

You can ask your mom or you can ask some of your aunts & uncles. If you can't, then try to get the name of the office he worked. Then go there & request the head to tell you everything about your father. If you can get his friends, that would be better. They will inform you. Good luck my dear.

do a research, the first person to be asked is your mother, next the family of your father if there is, then if possible the friends and co-workers, if you know your godfather and godmother ask them.

I would ask every relative and friends he may have known. Try to to get all the back ground his parents, grandparents, great parents, brothers sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
