  1. The first one seems to be a clogged drain hole.

The second one is dirty coils.

The best thing for you to do is pull your window units and give them a good cleaning.

You can get coil cleaner at the hardware store.

If the base of the air conditioners is rusting you should remove all the rust and spray with some water proof paint.

  2. Your first one has a clogged drain hole. You need to remove it from the case and clean it to clear the drain. The other one , I have no idea.

  3. Your drain hole is blocked.  Find the drain and unblock it.  It's going to be on the outside, usually near the bottom edge.

  4. I am having the same problem... really bad, i hadn't drained the unit until a week ago - because i was following the directions which said drain it when the ! emergency light goes on... every time i've run the unit since i've drained it, it has leaked TONS of water over night which has leaked through my hardwood floors and ruined the ceiling of floor below. I drained it until nothing was coming out of the drain in the back, but now when I look at it in the morning (i only run it at night), water is leaking out the back slats and out the bottom of the front of the unit....

What can i do??? This is HORRIBLE! It was an expensive unit, and I find it hard to believe that this problem can't be fixed.... not to mention we're not out of the summer heat yet and I'm going to need it to work without soaking my entire room!

  5. I would put something under the front and let it tilt back just enough to let the water flow back out side, as for the smell, you could put some household cleaner and water in a spray bottle and spray some jets of water into the fins where the air is drawn in it should be running on high so the cleaner will get all the way in and do the job make sure you use something mild like mr clean or pine sol (lemon) smells good also you can use some universal charcoal filter sold by the furnace filters to put in the front of the unit to absorb all the odors in the house,
