his friends won't throw him one unless it's with strippers. He doesn't want that nor do I, so now he is saying that he doesn't want one at all. I want him to have some kind of party.....The floor is open to any suggestions. :)

  1. camping trip with the guys

    race track

    paint ball

    sporting event

    concert

  2. Why don't you talk to your bridesmaids and see how they feel about a Bridal Party party?  It could let everyone relax together and kinda bond before they're standing next to you at the altar.

You could all do something fun like bowling, a softball game, a BBQ, go to a nice restaurant, go to a sporting event, play paintball or laser tag, etc.  Then it would be fun for everyone and if the girls are hosting it with you, it's probably more likely to be classier and more fun ;)

  3. Get him tickets to a game, a concert, a sporting event. Have them go on a man-only camping trip. Do a Bachelor Golf Tournament.

More and more Grooms nowadays are opting out of the traditional Bachelor Party. Instead, they are choosing to have outings where they can just relax and hang with friends. Here are a few ideas:

    1. Organize a camping trip.

    2. Get box seats to your favorite sporting event. Call the ballpark to see if they have any packages for special occasions.

    3. Go on a golf outing. Golf can be a great time to relax and reflect with your friends before you step down that aisle.

    4. Paint balling

    5. Road trip to a destination of you choice. Graceland is a personal favorite.

    6. Charter a fishing boat with a bunch of your friends.

    7. Plan a trip to an amusement park.

    8. Organize a sports tournament with all of your friends. Have prizes for the winning team. Some suggestions:

    Flag Football

    Soccer

    Basketball

    Beach Volleyball

    9. Sky diving

    10. Rent a speed boat.

    11. Go on a “Booze Cruise”.

    12. Race tracks

    14. Whitewater Rafting

  4. I agree with April-- perhaps the guys need to hear it from someone else about how important this is to your husband. Hopefully he will only get married once and to lose this rite of passage would be a waste.

Also, another idea would be a Jack and Jill party. Its a combined bachelor and bachelorette party. Friends of mine recently did this and the whole hoard of people went out together and they had the best time at a local bar/club. Each group still did special things for their repective bride or groom and they still had a chance to go out and enjoy themselves.

  5. My husband went on a fishing trip with a few of his closest friends and they got wasted and had a great time. My best friends husband had a pocker night at his house and the guys gave $ to play which went to the groom of course

  6. This happened to one of my friends. The groomsmen weren't throwing him a party - not because they wanted strippers and he didn't, but because they were being lazy about it. My friend wanted to make sure that her husband got a bachelor party, so she had to get on the phone with the best man and give him a little push.

I suggest you get on the phone with his friends and tell them that when it's their bachelor party they can have strippers - but right now it's your fiances turn and it's not right for them not to do anything just because they won't get to do it there way.

I am sure that someone can organize something. Try talking with the best man first.

It's really not that big of a request - but sometimes people just need a little push.

  7. honey, he is lying to you. How can you be so naive?

  8. What jerks...why do some men think it  has to be about a half naked woman?  An idea might be to figure out what he and his best man enjoy the most...bowling, golf, a massage. And pay for it in advance and tell the best man about your plans for them to enjoy some one on one time together...he may go ahead and follow up with a beer at a local bar after wards or something.

  9. i am not into bachelor/bachelorette parties and i always said that i would like to have a combined laui party in the backyard.that way everyone can get to know each other before the wedding. i am not into strip clubs at all.

  10. my husband and i had the same issue.  we did a bar b q for him. it was nothing big or Fancy but it was nice and he enjoyed it. you can have good clean fun with out a stripper. i respect my husband because he did not want that and your soon to be is respected for this as well. keep it simple.

  11. Camping trip.  That's what my husband and his friends did.. And that's what they do for all the guys in the group.

  12. Neither my husband nor I wanted bach. parties, and that's fine. It was enough to have a shower, then the wedding.

  13. I worked at a rafting company and lots of bachelor parties came rafting.

  14. I agree with April. I think that his friends need a little push...and a little reminder that they should be thinking about your fiance - not just themselves. There are plenty of other activities that they can do...

  15. have a friend trip!!!

have him plan it him self instead of having other's plan it that way he knows what he is getting!
