Anytime a bump or movement up or down will cause the car to die.

  1. Ok let me try to explain. That thing you put the key in is just a cylinder lock and not the switch. There is a rod that runs down the column to the real switch. When you move the steering wheel it pulls on this rod and this rod pulls on the switch.

To get at this switch you have to drop the column and you will see the switch. Now this switch is held in place by 2 screws. It seems to me that these screws are loose and allowing switch to move and turn off the car..

    Check it out.

  2. That  is weird. The only thing I can think of is the power steering pump is locking up under pressure and causing the engine to stall. I would have thought it would have thrown a belt or the belt would have screamed like crazy. I guess you could have a bad motor mount causing the engine to move. It dies when you turn the wheel whether the car is moving or not? If the car is going 30 mph and you turn the wheel, it dies? I can't imagine what that is. Having said that, it should be real easy to figure out once a mechanic has the car right there in front of him/

  3. i think you have a pressure sensor on the power steering hose--you might want to have that checked out?

  4. You should check your power steering. you could also check your fuses and see if there is something wrong.
