She is 4 years old and she repeats a word more then 5 times in a sentence.

She has never once had a normal sentence for example

I I I I need need need to to to to go pee.

That's pretty much how she speaks is there any way i can help here speak more normal.

  1. She's four years old, four year old do a lot of junk like that, they are still young, and they do most of the stuff they do for attention

  2. Some children do that because they think thats the way you're supposed to say it so next time she says something like that like i need need need to go go go pee, say You need to go pee? Then if she nods or something tell her to say it the way you said it,

She'll eventually catch on, and when she goes to school it will help her too.

    Good Luck!

  3. dont worry. its normal. i remember when i saw little my neighbors use to talk like that and there was nothing wrong with them. they were pretty energetic kids.

  4. Wow, you sound like a great older brother. Hmm... well my niece kind of does that sometimes but not so bad. When she is doing it my mother stops her and first of all tells her to take her time . Then she tells her to say it like this ,and repeats what my niece said slowly. She helps her with it until she gets it and then praises her. I think that it has helped, she rarely does it anymore.

My niece is 3 years old.

    I hope this helps :-].

  5. It's completely normal for kids her age. It's just a stutter, and those things are usually just a passing phase. My little brother had the same problem!
