My Freeview Box Isn't Working Properly.?

It recently displayed a message saying it was going to update the guide, so I let it, and I got a new guide for about a day, and now the digital box won't turn on via the remote. If I switch it Off/On at the plug it then works again, but I loose my guide. What is the problem, and how do I solve it??

You didn't tell us the model of the box.

Sounds like the update has changed the way it works.

You can take it back to the shop or phone the makers tech support line.

If it's any of the following boxes not all transmitters are continuing to support the protocols:

Digifusion: FVRT100, FVRT145, FVRT150, FVRT200, FRT101

Sony: SVRS500 PVR

Thomson: DHD4000 PVR

Setpal based models (include Novapal, Triax and Labgear branded STBs and the Daewoo SV900 Integrated Digital VCR (IDVCR)

Inverto IDL3000, IDL7000PVR

And so you may be experiencing problems.

If it's a Sagem, this problem has been experienced before. Just replace the box as it's probably getting old by now.
