My Friend doesn't like my shirt?

The other day I was wearing a shirt I thought was cute and when I got to the place I was going. My friend like the 1st sentence she said to me was " I dont think u shouldve worn that shirt" and Im like oh well. I mean i know everyone had diff tastes but i dont think u should point them out to people am I right? By the way her clothes dont even match to me half the time and i dont think ive ever liked any outft shes worn but i go around and tell her that.Anyway if she does it again how could I nicely tell her that i dont care wat she thinks and u know im not all that rich so i cant but clothes from those preppy stores like ambercrombie and fitch. Any advice or comments?

Tell her that this is your style and she can have her opinions but you like what your wearing and nothing can change your own style.

tell your friend that you like the shirt and that's all that matters  don't listen to what others say about it

Try not to care so much what other people think.  I know that is difficult, but somebody will always have opinions about things that differ from your own.  You don't need a lot of money to be fashionable, some of my best dressed friends (one of which also dresses models for fashion shoots) could shop at "preppy stores" but instead prefers thrift stores where you can find original, one of a kind items like Value Village.  Your friend disliking your shirt probably isn't the real issue.  Maybe she is jealous of you, or it could be something completely apart from you, like she was having a bad day.  You could say any number of things to her if it happens again. Such as, "Well, when you've got such a pretty face like me, who notices your clothes?" or, "You're not the one who is wearing it, I am and I like it."
