  1. If you are in the U.S., you need a properly signed title. most states do not allow a vehicle to be "gifted" by anyone but an immediate family member. This is for taxing purposes. You probably cannot get any of the other things you need (sticker and plates) until it has been transferred into your name.

  2. a new friend lol

  3. Most states don't allow "gifting" of vehicles except by immediate family members.  You'll need to get the vehicle insured first.  Then go get it inspected. Then take your insurance card, DL and title (signed over to you by your friend) and go to your local DMV/tax office (different states have different agencies handle vehicle titling and registration).  You will have to pay taxes on the vehicle based on the fair market value of the car.  The DMV/tax office will calculate this for you.  You will also have to pay the title fee (to get the title changed over into your name) and the registration fee.  You MUST get the vehicle retitled in your name.  Until you do this, you do not officially own the vehicle.  Depending on the state and the year/class of the vehicle, I would budget about $500 for everything.  More if it's a more recent vehicle, as the market value (and therefore your taxes) will be higher.  Good luck! :-)

  4. you need a new friend

  5. The car title with the previous owner's signture signing it over to you, an insurance ID card in your name for that vehicle, your license, and whatever the fees are for your state for registering a car.  If a lienholder is shown on the title you need a lien release as well.  Check with the DMV by calling or going to their website before you go so you can try to get some idea of the cost.

  6. looks like you'll need a crow bar (to open the door), a s***w driver, (to turn on the igniton), and a nitro booster, for when the cops come after you while your driving that stolen car of yours.   Good luck.

  7. Wow, that was nice of your friend!

You obviously need plates, and your city sticker. So go to your local autobody, or where you got your drivers license, and find out how. How to get these sticker varies from place-to-place. You need to bring the car with you, but driving without a license plate can get you pulled over, so be careful, and if an officer does pull you over, explain the situation and ask if you can get some sort of escort.

Have fun with your new ride!

  8. You need the car title, drivers license, and proof of insurance.

  9. you need to see if it pass inspection and get it registared in your state and get insurance...

check out your state dmv website..

  10. First you gotta make the car safe to drive. You can get a paper plate for it at the dmv, to get a paper plate you need the title and insurance. then you can work on it to make it safe and make shure it passed emissions. Once you get the emissions sticker, you can get it registered.
