  1. I believe it is going to be the plastic coupler that with  rubber on the direct drive motor.  Those couplers are about $13.50 if I remember right at repairclinic.com  and this part number is 1195967.  If it is not the right part, enter your model number of the washing machine and it will show you the parts.  Hope this helps.

  2. If you hear the motor running, the clutch has fallen off of the motor shaft.

  3. Does agitator operate?  If so, it's not the belt, assuming you have one, some units are direct drive.  If it's not direct drive and the agitator operates, it is most likely the solenoid that engages the spin drive.  To be perfectly honest, if you are asking the questions you are asking, you will not be repairing it yourself, sorry

  4. It is either the belt or the clutch.

The front panel is held on by spring clips and is a little tricky to get off.

Use a putty knife to relieve the spring tention while pulling it towards you. Then lift it out of your way and inspect the clutch and belt.On these washers the clutch will often seperate from the pulley and the belt will fall off.
