My GP's cage is too little...?

Question

Its about 23in by 11in.She can only jump out of her hut and walk like 7in to the water and food.I think she should have a bigger cage cause I mean.SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE WAS SQUEEZED in that cage!(We had to put a plate for dogs shaped like a bone cause she would knock over her old plate.So that kinda takes space.And also her hut)I have $50 and i wanna spend it on a bigger cage for her.But my mom wont let me.But I have Few reasons y should she let me

1.When ever i let my gp out.She pees on the floor and poos.And my mom hates that.

2.She bites all the cables in my house.My Dad hates that.

3.She bites my moms shoes or any slipers that are on the ground.EveryOne hates that except me

But the good thing is that all of us love her very muchhh.

SO tell me what should i do to make her let me buy a bigger cage?

P.S:Theres enough space for the cage so dont worry.

Well maybe you should tell her that your pet is not getting enough room to stretch her legs or walk around. Animals should have enough space to walk around and space for a house to be put in there and room for them to move around in there. But the house should not take up that much of the cage. Besides that there should be enough room for a wheel for them to run in and room for them to get out. Tell her that in a mature way and say hey you dont like when i take her alot because she pees on the carpet and chews on the cables so maybe if you got a bigger cage for her then she wont have to come out of her cage alot just to get some room to walk. Just tell her in a nice way all that and maybe there is slim chance that she will have a bigger cage.

I'd definitely say a bigger cage would be a good idea. Guinea pigs need a lot of space to exercise and play in. You could do some research on ideal cage sizes for pigs and show it to your mom to convince her that it's not fair to keep her in such a small cage? If you can or know of someone then build a bigger cage or purchase a bigger cage at the pet store.  If you have $50 and it is yours then you should spend it however you choose.  Who is your mom to tell you that you can't? I hate controlling mothers.  They shouldn't tell you how to spend your own money.  Your guinea pig shouldn't have the run of the house.  Get her an exercise ball.  This way she can get exercise but be contained.  If your mom loves her very much then she would let you get the bigger cage.  Her cage is way too small for her.  She needs a bigger cage.

why dont you suggest building a hutch or run for her? this would be quite cheap and would make the guinea pig very happy!

Well, what convinced my mom was I told her it was way too small for two guinea pigs and that their attitude would change for the better!  Now, I'm making a c&c cage for them and I can't wait 'till it's finished!
