  1. It's great you have the receipts. So call them up and ask where you have to go to show them the receipts.

But if it's just the money order receipts, I'm not sure they will accept them. Do you have the receipts from the company? How about old statements saying you were up to date?

Now might be the time to get a checking account. It's easier to prove you paid if you can show them the cancelled checks.

    Best of luck. :0)

  2. Check with the postal service that they were cashed, get the proof in writing, and go to the nearest customer service shop.

  3. Call them up and tell them this.  Ask them to restore and give you some time to trace the money order receipts.

  4. Take all your receipts to them and show them.  How did you pay?  By mail?  In person?  I agree with the previous poster about finding out if they've been cashed, etc. too.  At the very least, if you show them the money order receipts, issued to them they may at least turn the power back on until the investigation is done.

  5. Check your money order receipt if there is an acknowledgement or notation that they indeed en-cash or receive your payment. If they receive your payment, then get a lawyer in sue them for damages.

  6. If you hadn't paid, the amount on each months bill would have a double payment. take the receipts down to the payment office or call and give them the numbers on them. Best to do this in person.
