Question:

My Gecko Keeps Hiding...?

I've had a female leopard gecko for about a month now and in her cage there's like this grasstypw stuff that she can lay on and move it around but for a week or so she's been hiding underneath the grass and she dont come out unless u pick her up!!! So why is she doing this????

  2. with any small cage animal like that it always helps to hold them as much as possible. with geckos the are simular to iguanas and lizards where the have to regulate their body temperatures all the time.  they'll heat themselves up for a long time, usually fake rocks that you plug in that will heat up, and then they also need to cool themselves down.  so depending on the surrounding you supplied for the lil gal that's probably what she is trying to do.. i say if you have a heat lamp at one end of the tank and supply a "swimming pool" area at the other end you may see more activity out of her.

  4. yeah when there little they do that but when it get a little older it will start to come out and also play with it for a little bit so it can get use to you so when is big it likes you and it will come out more
