My Gerbil wont run in her ball

Question

I bought my 3 year old gerbil a ball 2 days a go.

She likes sitting in it but she wont roll around on the floor

The ball is perfect size for her and i give her an hour usually to

roll.

Some gerbils just don't like being in a ball. My gerbil, Chip, has ben in his ball lots of times, and he either doesn't get it, or doesn't like it at all. My sibs dwarf hamsters wont run in a ball either. Just get her one of those little fence enclosures, or a wheel. Just because she won't run in a ball dosen't mean that theres anything wrong with her.

She probably doesn't understand what she's in. She probably thinks she's in a container. Just let her fun around in an enclosed area. The balls are known to give animals back problems as they have to bend to run and how would you like to be put in a ball for an hour?
