My Goldfish?????????

Question

I have an 8 yr.old Goldfish and a 2 days ago he was swimming upside down so I gave him a pea and he looked fine yesterday and I just looked in my tank and he laying on the ground almost all the way upside down and this is the same way my last Goldfish died last year. The other Goldfish I have in there is fine and when I fed them Buster wouldn't eat and I looks like he tries to swim but he can't and he's barely breathing now please help!

you can't save a goldfish and he is old so sorry to tell you but i think that he is going to die soon=[ sorry again

well hes hopelively lived an awesome life but i think hes dying u should stop his suffering flush him down the toilet or maybe bring him to a pet doctor and let them either help him if they can or put him down humanely

First off, an 8 YEAR OLD GOLDFISH? That's ancient. Second, go get a vet if you care about him that much.

8 years is great for a goldfish. He lived a long life. Make sure you are feeding your fish sinking foods because when a goldfish goes to the surface to eat he will gasp in air and because fancies have a curved spine it makes it easy for them to get swimbladder.

you gave him a pee, wat did you take him out put him on the toilet and then pee, or what?

I wouldnt blame him for acting that way after you just peed on him

Hi Goldfish can live to be over 30 years old and get to be over 12 inches in size. I would not give up just yet. I think your goldfish has a swim bladder infection. I would put him in a tank by himself and slowly add some aquarium salt 1 tsp per gallon of water and increase the temp to 80 degrees over the next day or two. Keep the salt and temp there for about 10 days. then if your goldfish is better slowly decrease the salt and temp.

sounds like he may have seen his time sweety..8 years is a pretty long good life for a goldfish though. id take him out and separate him from the other fish as it may have disease that can spread through the water. sorry about your loss hun.

buy another but i suggest you buy 3+ fish always survive longer when they live with other fish!
