My Grandfather is acting weird?

My Grandfather is making some racist comments in the last few months. This is NOT like him. He was always an equality advocate. This is really worrying me. My mom says his brain may be starting to not work. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to help him?

  1. He probably is in the early stages of Alzheimers.  IT's really weird but they do and say things that don't make sense.  They think that their children are their parents, which is impossibly.  They think that their children are strangers.  I would watch him for any visible signs of not understanding or forgetting.

There is something critical that your mother can do.  She needs to immediately start giving him liguid B12 with Folate.  It works wonders for the neurological pathways to the brain.  It is about $16 at The Vitamin Shoppe and can be ordered on line.  It is raspberry flavored and can easily be dumped in any liquid.  However, it is red.
