My Guardian Plus Generator 0-4389-3 Starts but won't run?

I not sure.

I know many have a spring that "Tuned" for a certain tension. If, it bad dirty, damaged (bent or stretched), or broke. It may not allow the engine to get to a running RPM.  Once the engine starts it springing back and the engine drops to a very low RPM and dies. I not sure where to tell you to look. It may be a lever on the crankcase and the wire go to the carburetor or it could be a leaver coming from the Flywheel where the cooling air come through. If, you can figure out what I talking about you can try holding it in one direction or the other to see if you can manually keep it running, just watch your figers if it around moving parts. This just guessing.
