My HD input is 480i on my TV, what xbox360 setting do i use. Cause i keep getin three or more staticy screens?

My samsung HDTV has an 480i input on the back and every time i try to hook up the HD cables i get three or more staticy screens and when i try to change it, it gets worse. It works just fine on regular. Can a xbox 360 be used in HD with this TV or is the input to low?
