My HP OfficeJet 7410 printer

My HP OfficeJet 7410 printer has a two-sided print accessory, but will not automatically print two-sided.I am running Vista and printing a Microsoft document that I want to be printed on both sides. It's as if the printer does not even know the accessory is there.
