My HP Pavilion dv2120 note

My HP Pavilion dv2120 note book after a while get very hot. On a number of occasions it has shut itself down as a result of overheating. A recent event which may be linked is that it looses its connectivity (The blue wireless light stay red) When it is hot the fan seems to be working overtime to remedy the situation.
