Hi, I have a Hp Pavilion dv2000 special edition laptop computer, and I have been having some problems. When I plug in my laptop it always says it's (plugged in, not charging) Sometimes it does work, but mostly it doesn't.

This problem just occurred more frequently this week, and once around 2 weeks ago. I got this laptop just a few months ago, so I doubt that it is the battery would be the problem.

Please help, if possible.

  1. My HP Dv4000 did the same... its the connection from pulling it out by the cord.... if you know anyone that fixes laptops i recommend them fixing it for you and have them get the piece its around $40 at a supply store... if not have a computer repair shop fix it for you.... just remember the piece is about $40 so dont let them over charge you... the only way to fix it is to replace it so it has a tight secure connection... Good luck

  2. Go back to the place you bought it from or if you bought it from hp call them it should still be under warranty
