My HTC Touch phone is doing a soft reset every time I hit a button.?

My HTC Touch started acting real weird yesterday. I wasn't able to use the 2 buttons on either side of the center dpad. So I decided to hard-reset the phone with the Clear Storage option in the Settings menu. It did go back to factory settings. However, now I'm not able to use ANY of the buttons. The touch screen is the only thing that works. If I were to move the volume slider on the side or press the center dpad, the phone does a soft-reset. The camera button does not work. The green and red buttons on the front do not work either. I also tried hard-resetting it by pressing the red and green buttons on the front and inserting the stylus into the reset hole. That didn't help either. My phone's driving me crazy. Does anybody have any suggestions? Please do help....

Sounds like water damage...

But have you tried taking out the battery while the phone is on? Leave it out for 10 seconds and put it back in.
