I picked my male hamster up, and I looked at my hand... There was a little spot of blood on it! :o My sister is freaked out, now! I can't find where the spot is that he is bleeding, though... I have checked lots of websites to get this answer. I wanna know, if a hamster will make a noise, when you touch where it hurts. Will it bite you? Do most cuts get in certain places?!?! I can't figure out how my hamster got this cut! My sister even went to the vet with her friend to get answers. Any answers are greatly appreciated! :D

  1. It could be wet tail, if his or hers eyes are p***y then its wet tail.

  2. check and see if it is itching and probly that is it cause my hamsters name is annabell and she scratches and gets cuts soo probly thats all!

  3. did u check the bottom of it when u saw the blood. if its has been over a day now its probably gone by now

  4. check its butt! that is a sign of wet tail!

  5. Signs of pain might be not eating and drinking well or being calmer than usual (for example, if he normally doesn't like to be held and squirms, but now he is relaxing in your hand, he's probably in pain). Hamsters can tolerate a lot of pain, so if he's showing his in pain, he's in A LOT of pain.

Is he in there with another hamster? If so, maybe they fought and the cut is likely near his rear end area. If not, I'm not sure what to tell you about the location. Change his cage so you can search through and see what he might have cut himself on. Has he been chewing on his water bottle and now it's sharp? Or maybe he's sharpened a dish or house or toy?

    Good luck.
