  1. Try checking your cats poo! Lol sorry ;-)

Check under your bed and draws etc

  2. Our hamster escaped once and we all walked about barefoot so we could feel him if we were about to step on him!  lol  We found him halfway up a floor-length curtain.  Remember they like small, warm spaces, so he's probably somewhere like behind the refridgerator or cooker.

Good luck, hope you find him!

  3. One of my hamsters escaped and we heard a noise in the kitchen, he was behind the kitchen units, listen out for any scratching noises and put a bowl of food out, he should then come out.

Hope you find him soon, x

  4. :/

Hm, well you should search one room and if your hamster isn't in there, then put all your pets in that one room and close the door till you get back so that they don't eat your hamster if it's still there.

Also, close every door in the house so that the hamster won't go out of your house or anything.

    Good luck!

    I hope you find him/her!

You can also try food traps.

Put some food inside of a bag and leave it open. ^^

  5. Ask the cat

  6. Ours went missing for a while some years ago. It was just at the time that we were having two rooms freshly  fitted with carpet. You can imagine that we were very worried thinking that the poor wee soul had been frightened off by the carpet fitters. We searched and searched, even in the garden which backed onto a wood. We didn't find poor wee Algernon. At the front of the house we had had the tarmac people resurface our short drive to the garage. You can perhaps visualise the panic in our house.

Guess where we eventually found his poor, wee furry body after about a week.

Your are absolutely right - there he was, flat out, snoring at the top of his teeth under the blanket in the basket of our large ginger cat.

  7. Okay until you find the hamster put the dog outside and put the cats in a cage or something. I would search behind kitchen units, dressers, under beds, and anything like that. Set out food or leave treats in the cage after setting the cage on the floor.

    Best of luck!

  8. put his cage on the floor and leave the door open

  9. look under beds

    in closets

    behind things

    in cadnets

make like a trap for it to get into

    hope this helps =]

  10. Shake the bag of food, then the hamster should come.

  11. it will show up in a couple of days but pray it don't chew your cables

  12. they are too stubborn to come out to their own food/cage

i have found my sister's hamster once behind the stove nibbling on crumbs

and once behind the bookshelf eating a book

best idea is to leave water out in little dishes at night incase he gets thirsty - you don't want him getting into anything he can drown in - like plumbing

also when it gets dark go into each room and sit for about 20mins and listen very carefully

if you hear chewing you know your hammy is in that room!

    good luck finding hammy

they are little gits for getting out their cages and hiding away for loooong periods of time!

p.s maybe you could put some humane cage traps out so that if it comes out your cats will not be able to get it,

  13. Ok, during the day, take a flashlight, and search all dark corners and areas first, for hamsters like dark areas and are nocturnal, so it'll be sleeping if you find it in a dark area. After that, look in any remaining small nooks/crannies/corners, well you get it, small areas, after that look under furniture, always start in the room his cage is usually in, and after you've looked under furniture, look everywhere else. Hope I Helped!

  14. up richard gere's a r s e

  15. i lost mine and it was in my closet cause it was just little enough 2 fit under there with my doors closed were ur doors closed if they were them look in the room the cage is in hope u find it :D

  16. look in small dark places, under beds and inside couches, in the kitchen cabinets or in closets or laundry baskets. my hamster escaped once, I found her at the bottom of our floor heater, it was too far down to reach her with my arm so I got a towel and lowered it down in front of her and surprisingly she grabbed on to it and I was able to lift her up and out of the heater.

  17. Ok...look in corners of the house/apartment and look unter night stands and look in the cats Dumpy Box (it might be in there) and under the dresser! :))

  18. make a trap for your hamster or make it so your hamster can get into its cage whilst your out

  19. leave the cage open, check any small places that it could of gone like into cupboards or under beds.

something which once worked for me when my hamster escaped is i got some humane rat/mous traps (the ones that dont kill them, just trap them) and left them around with food inside, make sure you keep checking them because he wont like it in there very much :)

    good luck

  20. it'll show up don't worry why don't you keep you bedroom door closed if that's where your hamsters cage is chances are it's probably in there close the door so it doesn't get out of your room and also your other pets won't go in your room also leave a bowl of it's favorite food.

hope your hammie comes out :)

  21. Yes, one of the cats might eat your hamster.  Put a piece of cheese in the room where you lost him and put his cage and his food cup out and maybe a water cup for him and you might see him running for the cheese.

  22. Try someplace near water in your home because Hamster's get thirsty,or keep the cage out with the door open with treats inside it or something.

  23. kitchen cupboards behind washin machine etc leave traps wee bowls of cereal obviously with out milk in kitchen cupboards it will look for food

  24. he cant get upstairs so put ure cats litter box etc upstairs and shtut them in or put them out when ure at work. dog keep upstairs. but a bucket lined with 2-3 towels so is nice and padded which will make a soft landing. put some food in the bottem and a stack of books leading up to the brim of the bucket in like stairs shape do your hamster can climb them. he will be hungry and climb up then fall in the bucket and be there when you get back but keave it overnight too and one in each room. xcept upstairs and check dog/cat poo. also no cheese the cats will eat it or the dog, it will go moldy and cheese is too rich for hamsters its bad for them (this goes for any animal.)

  25. make everyone quiet- you will hear it scratching sometime.

  26. Would be best to shut a door to a room and turn the lights off and draw the curtains so its dark. Place a bucket with some smelly food in there perhaps cheese or his/her favourite foodstuff with a ladder leading up to it. He/she may venture up the ladder and fall into the bucket leaving him/her trapped inside until you get home. The darkness and nice smell of the room should attract him/her there away from any naughty dogs and cats :) Best of luck!!!

  27. well you wont find it on yahoo answers thats for sure, get looking before it gets eaten silly.

  28. Put some hamster treats, or food in the same room as the cage where it escaped from and it may sound weird, but check your dresser draw if you have cotton shirts in their because when mine escaped, she was eating all my cotton shirts. Look in cornors, and dark areas for "droppings" and the hamster is most likly in the same room it escaped from.
