My Heart Rate is high, why?

  1. That is pretty high. Could be something you ingested, like say caffeine or some other stimulant (energy drinks, coffee, etc). Could be stress, either emotional, freaking out about something, or physical, just finished running/lifting.

    If your heart rate doesn't go down, you should probably see a doctor. It could be a condition, but could just as easily be a lack of cardiovascular exercise and/or poor diet. If you're relaxing, it really shouldn't be that high for any length of time.


  2. There are several possible causes.

    Drugs,  Stress, exercising, dehydration, fever and infection, low blood pressure, too much blood loss, and more.  

    Is it always high?  If so, you are over-taxing your heart
