circuit boards. Is there a web site that may give me instructions on how to do this or a least show me where the circuit boards are. I would like to have an idea before I start taking the TV apart. Thanks for any help you can give me.

  1. I take it you don't have an extended warranty. If you did that would be the way to go. Just call somebody who knows whats up. Before you open up your TV you need to know that you can get electrocuted by fooling around inside that big black box. Try to disconnect the A/V cables and reconnect them. Make sure someone didn't set the auto off timer/ sleep timer. You never know because stranger things have happened. If you think that the dust is the problem go to Office Max or a similar store and buy the canned air/duster. It is just air under pressure in an aerosol can. Look inside the vent holes along the back of your set and blow the air all along the openings.

  2. Bad idea... the color discs coulod get damaged, static could cause issues, so many things could go wrong and then you would be SOL... best advice, take it to an authorized repair service. Unless you can afford to replace it if it gets totally frapped from the "home repair"...
