  1. Your wires to the thermostat probably got pulled loose. Is it a ground unit or is it on the roof? If it is on the roof the sun could of rotted the wires out. If it the ground unit, then adog or child could of accidentally pulled them loose. It is no real problem. Once you find it just rewire the stat and you will be o.k.

  2. Yes, you told us too little about your system to allow us to help.

So you lost your 24volts.  If the air handler is a furnace with the filters behind a blower door sometimes those doors don't get put on right when changing filters and if loose there is a door safety switch that cuts off the power.  Or your transformer failed. Or a safety is tripped. Or the fuse on the board for the 24 volts blew. Or the main switch on the unit is bad, or or or.

Sorry but we would need to know more and you need to check more.

  3. Do have a float switch installed on the air handler ? A float switch is a safety feature thats installed on the air handler right next to the condensation pipe, when the condensate builds up in the pipe and gets clogged condensate will stop draining right, and instead of flooding your house it will push up on the float valve killing all th 24v to the thermostat. To fix this simply clean out the condensate line and reset the float switch, IF you do have a float switch installed just simply lift up on it, if the AC turns on then you know what the problem is and you will have to clean out the condensate line.

  4. They seem ok?  Did you try a new fuse?  Try that first.

  5. Bypass the thermostate and see if it will come on. If it does you will need to either replace the thermostate or the thermostate wires.
