Grrrrr... Let begin by saying that I have always preferred Pampers diapers to Huggies because my daughter has been less likely to projectile p**p through the Pampers. However, A few weeks ago I found a great sale on Huggies. Combined with the coupons I had I couldn't pass it up. So... over the past few weeks there have been many times when my daughter had made a huge mess and it's been quite frustrating. This weekend I was away visiting family and made a discovery. I have already found a few diapers out of the pack I brought with me that have no padding on the butt part of the diaper. Most of them have the absorbant padding layer all around but I have already found 3 in one package that have nothing but a thin plastic layer over the bum part! I thought maybe it was a fluke but when I got home I checked the other pack I had here and I've already found a couple more with the same problem! Has anyone else encountered this? They are Huggies Snug and Dry Size 2, 48 count packs. I'm writing to the compamny to complain but I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed this. Thanks!

  1. I haven't noticed that, but then I can't say that I've looked.  I too found a good sale on Huggies, and I too bought a box, knowing that they have never fit my son as well as Pampers did.  So I bought it, and they still don't fit him well.  At this point...I am going to stick to Pampers even if they are more expensive.  As for the diapers being defective, definitely call the company.  They will most likely give you more Huggies though...which isn't really going to solve your problem anyway.

  2. I have not noticed that but I had a problem with the tabs pulling off one time and I called and they sent me coupons for free diapers...so call them and get some free diapers, but go to a different store then the one you got the defective ones at.

  3. i have had this problem before but i didn't do anything about it...i meant to write to the company but i've been so busy i haven't had the chance...sometimes on the inside on the top of the diapers right about where her belly button is, it's supposed to be thin and flat but it's been hard and has a hard ridge across it...

  4. I haven't really had problems with Huggies before but the quickest way to get an answer would be to call them, tell them the problem and they will send you some EXCELLENT coupons. I had to call Pampers once because my daughter was peeing through diapers. They told me to use the next size up and promptly sent me two $10 off coupons.

  5. I occasionally find random diapers with defects, it's part of the process. I had more trouble with the pampers as my brat got older, as she blew out the sides everytime, and we switched to huggies comfort fit(I think, the red package with pooh characters and gold lettering, not the normal red and white package, we had problems with those too). Luckily they are the same price as the regular ones. Now she's older and we use luvs cause they are cheap during the day, and huggies overnight for nap and bedtime cause she pees a lot while she sleeps. Of course, once we took the bedtime bottle away it's gotten alot better too. But I've used just about every kind of diaper out there, cheap brands and all, and they all have an irregularity sometimes. The pampers ended up giving my daughter a horrible rash even with that mesh liner to "wick away wetness" so we don't use them anymore. Same for cloth diapers. Lol. It's just unfortunately standards aren't up to what they used to be.

    Good luck!
