  1. Is your husband on active duty?

  2. To simplify everything, for the next 3 years, he is Active Duty, and will get paid only by AD... the ANG time doesn't start until he finishes those 3 years.. so, right now, it isn't even in play, not an issue.

The issue is why is his pay lower this time, than compared to the few others he has received... I could take a few guesses, one of which may be correct, or none of them... too many unknowns, soooo, the best bet is for him to do what always should be, and needs to be, done when he has a problem... utilize his current Chain of Command... I am betting they will know exactly what is happening and will either A) remedy it, or B) explain it, if there isn't a problem.

  3. If he has served both active and reserve this year he will have an LES that shows both.  He will only get paid once from the component he i currently serving with, no double dipping.  If his LES shows now BAH and it has been over 60 days since he has been activated his pay is wrong.  If it hasn't been that long he is fine so far.  Remember our pay is 30 days behind us.  The pay coming up for the 15th of this month still covers July so if he wasn't activated until August sometime you will not see any BAH in his coming LES.

  4. is he on drilling status or taking orders from his commander?

  5. while in schooling he is still considered active duty. He is reserves when he gets to his 1st command and start the weekend only drills.
