My Husbands urine came out a different color

Since wednesday my husband peed like a dark brown color and barely yesterday his urine came out like a darkish yellow or like a light brown color. Now today its still the same. But he has no other symptons. He said his lower back hurted a little bit but from a scale of 1-10 he said it was like a 1 or 2, that it can be because his tired from work. SO Should we wait to see if his urine gets back to normal or go to the doctor today??? What do you think this can be?

(PS) He used to have 2 kidney stones in Feb., when we went to the doctor he passed one there. And for the other one the doc gave him medicine...

  1. bring him to the doctor. it is not normal to be peeing dark colors like that. have him drink a lot of water and call your doctor.

  2. some medicine may alter urine color. you might want to check if that's a side effect of the medication otherwise i suggest consulting your doctor.

  3. It sounds like there is blood in his urine - which could mean a kidney infection ot stones.  That would cause the sore back as well.  He need to see the Doc.

  4. When the urine is brown, there's blood in it. The lower back pain suggests kidney involvement, possibly an infection. He should see his doctor today, in light of his past kidney problems.

  5. urine comes out a dark color when we havent had enough to drink or when there is blood in it.

so, if he has been having enough fluids, it must be from blood and he should see a dr asap :)

  6. He needs to see a doctor. Dark/brown urine is usually a red flag for kidney problems, and the back pain confirms it.

  7. its maybe kidney stones again.

  8. OMG! HE"S POOPING BY PEEING! Oh well he will always have to pee 2 poo.

  9. He's pretty lucky my p**s glows in the dark.

  10. Urine is normally either nearly clear or a shade of yellow.  This can vary with diet and vitamin supplements.  Brown colored urine is not common and could indicate blood in the urine.  It is best if he sees a Urologist.
