Question:

My Husky pup has blue eyes and has a brown dot on one. Is this Parti-eye or something else.?

The vet didn't seem concerned unless it got bigger.

  1. First off, very cute dog. Secondly, I don't think there's a problem, but I would take him to a different vet and ask just to make sure. It's always good to get that second opinion.

I think it is parti-eye that just happens to be almost all blue.  The variation of eye color is one outward characteristic of Waardenburg syndrome.  It is very common in animals that also have white markings on their face.  Waardenburg syndrome is also linked with deafness, so a small percentage of animals that often have white markings and off-colored eyes are deaf (ferrets, paint horses, boxers, dachsunds, Australian shepherds, huskies, etc.)

  4. My stray cat I took in has the same thing, my heighbors said it'll just come off but it's still there. It's nothing 'cept it looks cool.
