I just put a new housing on my mower and adjusted it but it is now cutting short on the outside of the blades and in the middle it is abit higher...what can the problem be? Each line i do there is a small strip in the middle of longer grass.......

I have a 38" cutting Deck...How can I even it out?

  1. Nope, none of these answers are on the mark. Simply, the two-bladed Husqvarna decks always leave a mohawk of uncut grass if the grass is at all long. Even if it is 4 or 5 inches and quite sparse you will get the mohawk. Even brand new blades make no difference. The two- bladed decks are great for maintaining a frequently-mown, low lawn but you will need to mow your acreage a second time to remove the mohawk and get a satisfactory appearance to your lawn if the grass is long.  I suspect the poor cut is a consequence of a "flush to the ground" deck design which does a great job of ejecting cut grass, and especially of discharging it up the shute into the rear baskets, but which does so at the expense of the prime function of a mower, which is to cut the bloody grass the first time around!
