My I-130 was approved in 1May 2008. Do I really need to wait 90days to check on status? Please help!!?

My Husband is in the States, I am in Japan waiting for this visa to process. We've filled it in the States, I have returned here..I know BIG DUMMY. According to my lawyer, we still have to file DS-230. Now how much more is this going to take?? Sometimes I really wonder if the NVC knows that this waiting time really eats up mentally...

  1. You can check your status through Visa Net.

    A couple of suggestions:

    1. Get a lawyer

    2. Get a congressional flag (contact the senator of the state you will be living in and have them do an inquiry on your behalf). They will be able to access info that USCIS won't tell you.

    Good luck and be patient. This is a very slow process.
