My I-pod nano will not get off of hold?

my i-pod will not go off of hold even when i tern hold off. I even tried to plug it in to the charger.

  1. you have to let it go dead than charge it. mine has done that a few times


  2. Did you try resetting it by pressing menu for a while?

  3. Is the hold button on hold?  Jiggle the hold button back and fourth.  Try tapping it or hitting it.  It won't break because the ipod nano's use flash memory instead of a hard-drive so they aren't as fragile.  

  4. Try holding the Menu button and the center button for maybe, 10 seconds. And it should reset. If that doesn't work plug it in to the computer.

    If both don't work, go to a Apple store or something.

  5. At the bottom or your i-pod there is a hold switch. Try switching it to the other side. Hope this helped!!!

  6. While the iPod's not plugged into your computer, try switching the hold button on and off a few times. If nothing else works, hold the center button and the menu button at the same time for 10 seconds, and your nano should restart.

  7. if the hold button is sticking out then push it down while taking it off hold

    that happens to mine alot
