My Infinity 6 CD changer has stopped playing CDs. Yesterday it would play, then it gave an error message.?

Now it won't eject any disks. I have 5 left in there. I disconnected the battery, thinking it would reset it. No such luck. Except that now I can't get it to switch from the radio to the CD's. I pulled the fuse, nothing. The radio works fine. Every now and then I can hear the CD changer try to change the CD's, but it won't turn on. Any suggestions? Oh- it's in an 2004 Dodge Durango.

Your factory Dodge in dash CD changer is made by Alpine and has horrible reliability. If you can live with a single disc player instead of the six disc, then you should be able to pick one up at a junkyard if you want to keep the factory system, or you could replace with the aftermarket deck of your choice.

Repair of your radio could easily run $300
