I got a call and they said that my IP address has been reported as sending many spams out. I talked to him on the phone and we ran threw a scan on the computer and found nothing. He said on his end it doesnt show what virus is causing it but only that spam is being sent out. What they have been doing is blocking our access to the internet when this goes on. Nothing has been sent from our yahoo email accounts as i just checked. The only thing that is coming up on the scan right now is tracking cookies. I am clueless as what is going on. I know a computer guy that we could take it to but i was wondering if i could fix it here at the house first.

someone may have infected your computer and turned it into a remote-zombie sending out their spam with your email address in the header

could you make a new account at google and abandon the 'spammer' one for a month?

  2. Man! they just shut you down like that without helping? They Suck

The fact that your network is compromised doesn't necessarily mean that the bad guys are using YOUR machine to spam the world. It could be that they have access to your network through your broadband router or through its wireless connection. My suggestion is to check your router logs to see if there are machines accessing your connection that you are not aware of. There is so much more but if you have multiple machines it could be one of them also.

First check the Logs and then report back..

  3. It may possible tha your PC has been hijacked and is being used as a ¨BOT¨. A spammer is using your PC along with many others to send out thousands of spams that use up the bandwidth of your ISP.

Download the free version of Superantispyware.  http://www.superantispyware.com  Update and run and in depth scan.  Free u must update daily or purchase and get auto. updates.

    Hope your problem gets resolved.
