My Internet connection does not work. Att&t said it was the line in the house problem. but it?

Att&t said that it was the line in the house, but the line worked fine for three months before. and the phone still works?

If I have to run a new line for my dsl , how do ido this ?

How do i connect the modular connectors to the phone cable?

  1. what he said...and also..ask for new filters for ALL of your phone lines. ATT & T provides these for free.

    Please be aware the filters must connected to ALL possible phone connections,even if NOT in use @ the time. Filters ease the noisiness on the lines,enableing the DSL connection to remain steady

  3. hm if the line worked for 3 months before it might be a connection problem, and not especially a line faulty!

    are you able to "ping" your "modem/router"?

    if you are running windows, try to type "start""run" and CMD: ping 192.168.1.1

    Or the Ip adress of your router...

    at least it will tell you if the line between your pc and your modem/router is working.

    Then you can try to ping something else like www.google.com or ping 209.85.129.104  ( a server from google), if it works we have other issue and your line is not faulty!

    try theses first!
