  1. assuming that you are using a Dial-up...you are supposed to choose properties of that connection you are using...then select options...you'll notice that in the "Redialling options" part there's something called "Idle time before hanging up"...choose whatever time you want or choose "never"

right click on the two small PC icon in start bar(that means that you are connected to the Internet)>properties>options>never(or the amount of time you like)

  2. For that to happen you must be on dial up. It's an automatic cut off usually after two hours connection, although you can reconnect straight away.

I'm afraid there is nothing you can do about it. It's to stop phone lines being permanently engaged and to give people ringing your phone line a chance to get through.

Phone Company regulations not your ISPs. It's controlled by the phone exchange not your computer.

  3. Contact your cable or phone company.  This shouldn't happen.  I have seen a few cases where a router would have a down time set in it, and I have seen hardware stop after a while, but it was repairable by just disabling and renabling. I'd call my service provider.

  4. please give more information.

do you use wireless? dialup? or dsl?
