My Internet isnt working?

My connection is fine, but a little symbol in the corner of my screen says an area network cable is unplugged but i have looked for something unplugged but can't find the root of the problem..

  1. Don't worry about it, it relates to any internal network your computer might be connected to.

    If it's only you, then no network, ignore it.

    But the set-up is there should you have other computers in your house that are not connected wirelessly.( ie. via cable.)

  3. This depends how you connect.. if you are using an ethernet cable, then check it is plugged in correctly, if you don't use one, and are using either USB or wireless, then you can disregard the "unplugged"" message as it doesn't apply to you..

    In order to help further, I would need to know if you use a router, or modem, your ISP and type of connection to your router or modem..

  4. If your internet is not working your connection is not fine. A disconnected cable message either indicates your network cable is unplugged, something attached to it has failed, or maybe a wireless problem if that is what you use. i can think of hundreds more possibilities, so maybe if you tell us how you are connecting we might be able to help.
