My Ipod Classic Broke, Where can i get it fixed?

Okay well i bought a 80g iPod classic about 10 months ago and i had an accident with it and it has a dent on the back of the iPod, the screen shows a big red X with a circle around it and wont work no matter what i do. Does my warranty cover this, can i get the applecare protection plan now to cover this, What can i do to get it fixed.... PLease HELP!!!!!
