Whenever I plug in My Ipod Touch, It doesn't open Itunes automatically. I have the "Open Itunes when this Ipod Is connected" already but it still doesn't open automatically. Oh and also when I plugged it in it said that "my ipod contains important diagnostic information that may help apple improve there products". Does that mean my ipod is broken?s

  1. Do you by any chance have a windows Vista?

  2. LOL no its not broken the cable or ipod must be damage or your computer doesnt like it very much. it takes a while for my itunes to load

  3. no, my ipod has done that before, i just went to

    store>authorize computer

    i hope this helps

  4. is it spose to?? mine never has..

  5. probably, but make sure you have the newest version of itunes and also visit apple.com about your problem

  6. i'm not sure why anyone would want itunes to open when they plug in their iPod, it only makes your computer run slower, i always uncheck the box, and that message doesn't mean your iPod is broken, iTunes has said that once or twice when i plug in my ipod touch and it works fine, seems to me like it does it at random

  7. when ever you setup the software for itunes you have to manually put open when ipod is connected

  8. no reinstall itunes and make sure u get latest version

  9. No, that means apple is trying to collect information on usage, etc. your ipod is fine.

if you are genuinely concerned, be sure to update itunes to the latest version as well as getting the latest firmware for your ipod.  after that, use the ipod restore within itunes to restore your ipod to factory state, that will fix your little glitch.
