My Ipod is dead. How do I bring it back to life?

I was having some problems with my Ipod and the Apple logo was blinking back and forth. When I hooke it up to the computer, the system said that the Ipod needed to be restored. In the middle of that it started to say, "File not found" then it when completely blank and I haven't been able to use it since. Any idea what's wrong? Please help.

PS: Its a 2 generation nano

barry it or charge it or bring it to the place you got it and get a charger for it!

It's dead so bury it! Nahhh take it to the apple store to get it checked but to be honest it sounds like his life is over!
