Ok, so my Ipod is on and fully charged, but it's frozen. It won't do anything. It's a nano with 8 gigs, and the white strip at the top, which has the "Hold" switch is off. But I always put it back on and it still works, it even works when it's off. What's the problem now?

  1. hold the middle button down for a long time till it comes backon

  2. ahhh! okkaay that happened to me before !!

this is what I did, I put my iPod back on hold, and then take it off hold, and then press the menu and the center button for a couple seconds

and it should work! I hate it when that happens D:

  3. Try restoring it using iTunes

  4. lol my friend's does the same thing... she just button mashes until it works again or leaves it to die then it usually works

  5. just let the battery drain (it won't show the battery going down because it's frozen) and then charge it and it will be good.

    happens to me too

  6. hold down the center button and the play button at the same time. i think it's play, but if its not hold down the center button and menu..

    good luck!

  7. Hold down the middle button and the top one until it resets.

  8. try pushing down and holding the center circle button and the menu button. Holding down these two should reset the iPod. Your screen will go black with the apple logo in white. After a few seconds you will be bought back to the main screen.

If this does not work, take it to an iPod store or wherever you purchased it from.

  9. Hold down the centre button and the menu button simultaneously for 3 seconds. This should restart the ipod. If this fails, you need to plug it into your computer and restore it to its factory settings. This will remove all the songs from your ipod, but the first will not. Draining the battery, as previously suggested, is not a full-time fix.

  10. Remove it from the freezer.

  11. mine did that all i did was let the battery die and then turn it on and then charge it

  12. HOLD MENU AND THE CENTER BUTTON DOWN. IT HAPPENS TO MINE ALL THE TIME IT WILL COME BACK IF IT DOES NOT WORK LET IT RUN ALL THE WAY DOWN OUT OF BATTERY AND THEN RECHARGE IT SHOULD BE FINE. It happens to mine all the time there is nothing to worry about.

  13. Press and hold the center button and the menu button at the same time, and wait for an apple to appear on the screen.

  14. try holding the center button and the menu button for about 6 seconds.

that works for mine when it's frozen.

otherwise, you can go to the itunes website and they might tell you something else you can do to fix it.

  15. I think you should try reseting your ipod.

"slide the hold switch to HOLD and back again. Then press both the menu and center buttons for about 6 seconds, until the Apple log appears."

My ipod froze once but i reset it.

  16. hold down the middle button and the center button for like 30 seconds and it will shut down and reset. then when you turn it back on everything will be bac to normal

  17. Try locking, then unlocking it.  And hold the play button for a few secs.  (5 or so)

  18. let the battery drain out then recharge it and it should be fine after that.

  19. hold the middle button and the menu button at the same time 4 about 15 seconds

  20. press the middle and menu button down at the same time for a few seconds.  That should restart it and unfreeze it.  But take it to the Apple Store after because it's defective software.

  21. Hold Center and Menu. It should restart your iPod.

  22. OMG this is the same thing that happened to me !!

i was charging it and i pulled it out and it was FROZEN!!

what u do is just let it sit there for several hours and soon it will have a black screen

and the apple should show up & its good as new

but if it doesnt work u need to bring it back to the store with ur recipt

    Good Luck!!!!

  23. one time mine did that on the baseball field and i was pissed so i threw it and when i went to pick it back up it was unfrozen

  24. Remove your nano from the bottom drawer of your freezer and place on a windowsill- preferably in a sunny position.  Give it 1-3 hours and Bob's your uncle.

  25. you can try plugging it back into the computer, and then taking it out. the same thing happened to me, and it worked.

  26. connect it to your computer

  27. k heres the how to- everyone at my school who owns an ipod has had this happen to them and, apparantly they think im the only one in the school who knows how to fix it because they all come to me for some reason.

But what you do is toggle the hold button maybe 4 times until it is into the unlocked position again.

then immediatly after you have toggled, press and hold the menu and center button for about 30 seconds.

It should restart, if not try again and make sure you are holding down BOTH the MENU and CENTER buttons at the SAME TIME

if you have tried this numerous times and still no such luck, you need to contact appe because your ipod could be faulty, but make sure you have your reciept first!!

    hope this helps

    : )

  28. plug it into your computer. re-sync and then pull it off and it should work.

  29. i have this problem also! put it on the charger and leave it there. if it asked u to install something u prally should. gl

  30. mine used to do that all the time when i first got it. You just have to let it run its course. usually takes a day. But you could try to slide the hold swith on for about 6 secs then press the play and center butten at the same tim, or it may be press the center and menu button at the same time. i cat remember

  31. same with me! man, but my teacher told me to put it in the fridge...it worked a little i guess but then reverted to old ways): all i can say is that unless your iPod is pretty new then u may need a new 1.
