My Irish friend bailed on me and now I have no on to sight see with next week. Any Suggestions?

Maybe do one of those bus tours? That way, if the bus goes somewhere that you think is interesting you can get off and check it out for yourself.

You can go James Gate. Its the Guinnes Brewery just behind Christ Church.

And go to Christ Church too.

Patricks Cathedral is the first ever library in the world if you want to check that out.

Theres not too much to do in Dublin except drink. We're irish, you should make friends in no time, everyones nice just dont go to the wrong places.

Theres a cool restuarant called the Mongolian BBQ behind central bank

You should go to Galway...fantastic little city (big town really), its really pretty (although it does tend to rain a lot). Loads of friendly people and youll find people who'll take you under their wing in no time! Go to a bar around Quay Street area, where you are likely to find tourists in a similar situation to yours along with lots of locals, combined with an excellent atmosphere, especially at this time of year! You'll have a great time - best of luck!

Aww poor you well firstly stay in the good parts of dublin like around St. Stevens Green and all dem shops like Brown Thomas i like 2 have a nosey der but its far too dear for me lol! :D  go 2 da good bars and your bound 2 find some1 dat will take you around!!!
