My Itunes will not recognize my ipod touch 1.1.5?

Question

Today I updated my jail broken ipod touch from 1.1.1 to 1.1.5. Now my v 7.7.1 itunes does not recognize the ipod, but the computer still makes a ding sound when i plug it in. I've tried reinstalling itunes twice after deleting everything related to itunes. I can't click the format thingy from itunes because not there, CuteFTP doesn't work. If there is such a thing as a 3rd party program that reformats the ipod touch, please tell me. (( Using Windows XP )) please email me at [e-mail]

I came across this site that gives you a free iPod in exchange for you completing a few simple tasks for them. I'm gonna try it out right now! :)

you can't update the firmware once you jail break it, apple does not approve of jail breaking ipods and in firmware updates tries to stop the jailbreak from working. but you should be able to restore it to factory settings or you could wait until the jailbroke firmware is available for 1.1.5
